2023 Move-In
The 2023 Move-In was a success!
However, it would not have been possible without the many volunteers! The many OWLs, OWL-Cs, OWL-ACs, and move-in coordinators ensured that the transition into on-campus living was successful for students. During this time, students were able to gain valuable leadership experience and build new relationships while helping out the on-campus community.
As we reflect on the recent events of move-in day, Hoot Fest, and training sessions, we are filled with immense gratitude for each and every one of you. Your unwavering commitment, boundless energy, and selfless dedication have truly made a remarkable impact on our community. The smooth transition into the new academic year would not have been possible without your hard work and enthusiasm.
Move-in day can often be a chaotic and stressful time, but your willingness to lend a helping hand turned it into a seamless and joyful experience for all incoming students and their families. Your warm smiles, guidance, and willingness to go the extra mile to assist with heavy boxes and directions brought comfort and reassurance to those embarking on a new chapter of their lives.
Hoot Fest was an incredible success, (even when met with rain and changing locations) thanks to your vibrant personalities and your ability to create an atmosphere of fun and unity. Your efforts in organizing games, activities, and engaging conversations showcased your passion for fostering a strong sense of belonging within our campus community. Through your interactions, you helped new and returning students forge connections that will undoubtedly last throughout their academic journey.
Attending training sessions showcases your commitment to growth and excellence in your roles as OWL volunteers. Your participation in these sessions reflects your dedication to enhancing your skills and ensuring that you provide the best possible support to your fellow students. Your willingness to learn and adapt to new information is a testament to your professionalism and the high regard you hold for the responsibilities you've undertaken.
In summary, your contributions as OWL volunteers have left an indelible mark on our campus. Your kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication have touched the lives of many and have set a shining example for all. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your exceptional efforts during move-in day, Hoot Fest, and your active engagement in training sessions. The positive energy and community spirit you've fostered will undoubtedly resonate throughout the entire academic year. Thank you for embodying the true spirit of our university and for being the heart and soul of our campus community.
