Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Article VI of the RHAC constitution states our non-discrimination policy: "RHAC will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, disability, age, medical condition, ancestry, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or veteran status."
OSU Students of all races and backgrounds are welcome at RHAC Meetings and Events. One of our core pillars and values is the principle of supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion at The Ohio State University; and to that end, we encourage students to join RHAC and share their perspectives on contemporary social and moral issues, and to help us program events and formulate policies that better reflect this important standard. We would like to express unwavering support for the rights of minority students and communities who are affected by violence, discrimination and unequal representation.
The Residence Halls Advisory Council is committed to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion at The Ohio State University. The importance of working actively to support minority students and communities on campus has only become more clear throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the continual occurrence of violence and discrimination against people of diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds in the United States. We have compiled a (by no means exhaustive) list of links and resources for students who may be seeking to contribute their time or money to this important cause. If you are interested in helping us do more to aid students and communities in need of representation, or if you or your organization wish to partner with the RHAC in our mission to support diversity, equity, and inclusion, please check out our GET INVOLVED and COLLABORATE sections!
