2026-2027 Executive Board Applications

If you are interested in applying to be part of RHAC's Executive Board for the 2026-2027 school year, learn more about each position and apply at the links below! We are looking for a Director of Programming to start immediately. You may apply for the position for Spring 2026, 2026-2027 school year, or both. Applications close January 16th, at 11:59pm. 

President and Vice President Application: RHAC President and Vice President Application 2026-2027

Roles and Responsibilities: 

President: 75% off their selected housing rate

  • The President shall be responsible for organizing and presiding over Executive Board and General Body/Senator meetings
  • The President is responsible for attending all RHA President roundtables
  • The President shall complete all student-org registration tasks during the Fall semester and shall update the Student Org page
  • The President shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining office and meeting spaces access and enforcing rules of cleanliness in these spaces
  • The President shall work closely with Advisors to update Community Councils and Hall Directors
  • The President shall communicate with relevant University administration such as the Director of Housing and Residence and Education, Director of Dining Services, Director of Facilities Operation and Development, Director of Energy Management and Sustainability, and Campus Chief of Police
  • Attend check-ins with NRHH President around conference season
  • Attend regular meetings with Housing and Residence Education administration (Director of Housing and Residence Education, The Leadership and Involvement Specialist, Associate Vice-President for the Residential Experience) to update them with what RHAC Executive Board are working on
  • The president shall arrange and organize the RHAC Spirit challenge and communicate updates about the same to community council members
  • Establish relationships with other members of Community Councils and involved living organizations

Vice President: 50% off their selected housing rate

  • The VP shall perform all duties of the President if they are absent
  • They shall immediately assume the position of the President should a vacancy occur
  • The VP is responsible for updating the RHAC website
  • The VP will maintain attendance records of the Senate and uphold the attendance policies with the Advisors as decided by the Executive Board
  • Reviewing and organizing files for the Teams profile
  • The VP is required to take minutes in meetings they are in attendance

Director of Marketing (DOM): 50% off their selected housing rate

  • Oversee a marketing committee
  • Create and send out the weekly RHAC newsletters
  • Provide marketing materials such as graphics and posters for community council members to promote RHAC events to their residents
  • Create and maintain a brand for RHAC as well as a social media calendar for all posts
  • Create and post marketing materials online through relevant RHAC social media outlets, with the advice and assistance of those Executive Board members whose events/programs/initiatives are being marketed
  • Order RHAC’s merchandise

Director of Finance (DOF): 50% off their selected housing rate

  • Oversee a finance committee
  • Be responsible for allocating grants with advice from the Finance Committee
  • Write all checks and is responsible for overseeing and managing financial processes
  • Manage all things pertaining to the RHAC Scholarship
  • Meet regularly with the advisor to discuss matters regarding the organization’s budget
  • Complete treasurer organization training, as required by The Ohio State University

Director of Programming (DOP): 50% off their selected housing rate

  • Oversee a programming committee
  • Plan at least one event per month during the Autumn and Spring semesters
  • Organize at least one large-scale collaboration event with all of the community councils
  • Organize at least one collaborative event per semester
  • Organize three Late Night Breakfast Events throughout the academic year
  • Plan the annual End of the Year Banquet

Director of Student Advocacy (DOSA): 50% off their selected housing rate

  • Oversee an advocacy committee
  • Be responsible for the planning and execution of advocacy events throughout the year, in addition to committing to a main advocacy initiative
    • These cannot overlap with events planned by the Director of Programming or Programming Committee
  • The programming events they are responsible for are as follows: 3 wellness events per semester, 1 large scale DEI event, and 1 collaboration event per semester
  • Organize the sign-ups and distribution of wellness kits during the spring semester

National Communications Coordinator (NCC): 50% off their selected housing rate

  • Oversee a communications committee
  • Represent The Ohio State University regionally and nationally through the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH)
  • Submit and create all bids for both regional conferences
  • Maintain contact with RHAC's sister organization NRHH to update RHAC and NRHH on both organizations current practices
    • Must update both organizations of regional and national changes
  • Manage pre-conference responsibilities





Weekly Meetings

The best way to get involved with RHAC is to come out and join us at our meetings on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the Blackburn Victory Room (North Campus) or Baker Mezzanine (South Campus). Our first meeting of SP26 will be on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 at 7pm in the Blackburn Victory Room.

Programming

We also have events throughout the year that students are encouraged to attend! RHAC is a great fit for ambitious students that value advocacy of all the on-campus residents, marketing, small and large scale programming, and building a strong community across campus.
