A weeklong Educational Road Trip to Greater Los Angeles Take your learning beyond the classroom and into the heart of Southern California. This immersive 7-day journey invites students—especially those in STEP, MUNDO, PASS, and BOLD—to explore how community action, the arts, and multicultural leadership intersect to create meaningful social change in one of the most diverse and creative cities in the world: Los Angeles.
💡 Why It Matters This experience is designed to help you connect what you’re learning in the classroom with real-world challenges—through hands-on experiences that deepen your understanding of leadership, identity, and social impact.
💰 What's included, Program Costs and Requirements, Funding,
- What's Included- Transportation, daily breakfasts, some meals, housing, and admissions to onsite experiences is included with program costs
- STEP Students- $2000 (covered by STEP fellowship)
- Non-STEP Students- $1000
- Payment Deadlines: $250 due January 26, 2026; February 23, 2026, Monday, March 23, 2026, Monday, April 20, 2026
Optional Informational Session:
- December 3, 2025 - 5 PM (Nosker Burgee Room-Nosker House)
Application Deadline:
- Submit this application form no later than 11:59 PM on January 2, 2026
Selection Criteria/Notification:
- Applicants will be selected based on the strength of their essay responses (clarity and organization, responsiveness to the prompt, depth and insight, writing quality)
- Applicants will be notified of their selection status by Monday January 12, 2026
