The MUNDO SoCal Experience 2026 
An 7-Day Educational Road Trip to Greater Los Angeles 

Take your learning beyond the classroom and into the heart of Southern California.

This immersive weeklong journey invites students—especially those in STEP, MUNDO, PASS, and BOLD—to explore how community action, the arts, and multicultural leadership intersect to create meaningful social change in one of the most diverse and creative cities in the world: Los Angeles.

• 🏙️ Explore iconic neighborhoods and cultural landmarks
• 🎥 Go behind the scenes of the Hollywood film and arts industries
•  🗣️ Engage in real conversations with local leaders and changemakers
• 🤝 Participate in community service alongside SoCal residents and fellow Buckeyes
• 🪞 Reflect on your identity and leadership style in a new cultural context

This experience is designed to help you connect what you’re learning in the classroom with real-world challenges—through hands-on experiences that deepen your understanding of leadership, identity, and social impact. 

💰 Funding & Discounts 

• STEP Students: You can use your STEP fellowship to fully cover the cost of this experience.
• MUNDO, PASS, and BOLD Participants: Active involvement throughout the year makes you eligible for a significant discount on the participation fee.

What if being “wicked” was actually a force for good? 
Kick off Wicked Week with MUNDO as we dive into the themes of identity, perception, and doing good in complicated situations. We’ll start with a pre-show discussion in the Barbie Tootle Room, then head to the Gateway Film Center for a screening of the new musical sequel Wicked for Good.

🍿 A night of music, magic, and meaningful conversation 

Whether you're a theater fan or just love a good story with a twist, this is your chance to see the world differently—and maybe even change it.

• Meet at the Brutus Statue in the Ohio Union by 1 PM to walk or take COTA to the Short North Stage
• Cost: FREE for the first 30 people to register using the TEATRO Presents MUNDO Registration Form.

As Wicked Week ends, MUNDO invites you to shift your perspective—from the untold story of the Wicked Witch to a bold reimagining of Dorothy’s journey in The Wiz!
