How ROUTES Unlimited Works
ROUTES Unlimited is a Housing and Residence Education staff-coordinated collaborative effort that brings together Ohio State students, faculty, alumni, and campus partners to support student success by helping them:
- Make Connections (Connection Opportunity Path Programs)
- Learn by Experience (Experiential Learning Opportunity Path Programs)
- Find Your Path (Bringing it all Together)
Active Participation Benefits for Students
Students who actively participate in ROUTES Unlimited—whether as members of the RU ACTION Team or through programs in their residence halls or other campus spaces—have opportunities to build meaningful connections, engage with diverse ways of thinking, support their personal growth and well-being, contribute to welcoming environments, and take responsible action on campus and beyond.
- Active participation may also provide access to additional benefits, including priority registration opportunities, micro-credentialing and reduced fees for select experiences.

Learning and Development Opportunities for Graduate Students, Staff, and Faculty
Graduate students, staff, and faculty can engage with ROUTES Unlimited through the RU Learning and Development ROAD Scholars Series. Facilitated in collaboration with campus partners, the series prepares participants to serve as RU mentors while exploring educational strategies that support student learning, growth, and development.
Planned 2026–2027 learning and development opportunities include:
- Foundations of Experiential Learning
- Ethics and Logistics for Experiential Learning
- Engaging Gen Z Learners
- Lessons Learned & Reflective Practice
