About

This ES HESA 3573-MUNDO Multicultural Histories and Legacies course will examine the concept of social change in domestic and global contexts through digital media, lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on experiences facilitated by the course instructors/resident directors as well as local and international community members, civic leaders, and scholars.

The spring break study abroad component of the course is tentatively set for March 11-18, 2022, and will provide student participants with the opportunity to understand what social change is and how (and when) to implement it to create more just, inclusive, and equitable communities at home and abroad.  The two-part experience features an eight-day global learning experience in Rome, Italy (with excursions to Florence and near Pompeii) that creates a hands-on way to explore the ideas, concepts, and theories examined in a semester-long course taught at the Ohio State University Columbus campus.
