Hall Council of the Year

Each hall council is encouraged to submit an application detailing their accomplishments as a residence hall organization from the 2016-2017 school year. 

 

This year, the format of the presentation will be purely electronic. It is suggested that the bid either be in the form of a video, Powerpoint or Prezi. If your hall council chooses to create a video, RHAC asks that the video presentation to not exceed 3 minutes.

 

These presentations are to only be constructed by hall council members. It is expected that each hall council member will contribute to his or her hall council’s Hall of the Year presentation. Hall Directors, Assistant Hall Directors, and other residence life staff may only provide feedback.

 

The electronic Final Presentation is due Monday, March 20th, 2017 by NOON to Kate Larson (e-mail attached at bottom). We ask that video presentations are uploaded to Youtube, as email attachments often cause issues. RHAC will be viewing presentations Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at our general body meeting. Each hall council will be given a presentation time, and we ask that at least two members are in attendance. The presentation or video can be no longer than 3 minutes, and there will be time afterwards for a q&a.

 

The RHAC Executive Board and Senate, as well as other selected Student Life employees, under the guidance of the RHAC advisors, will do judging of the electronic Hall of the Year presentation. Judging will be done in accordance to a rubric for the categories above.

 

The winning hall will be recognized at the End of the Year Banquet on Sunday, April 9th, 2017. Additionally, the winner will receive a $500 Hall Improvement Grant and possession of the Hall Council of the Year Engraved Plaque for the succeeding year.
