Office of Student Life: Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

Share Your Story

OSU Peer Theatre is striving to bridge the gap between those with experience (You) and those who need a little guidance (50,000+ students at OSU). Whatever life experiences you have had, we hope you will share to help others!

Whether or not you know it, your voice alone can help a whole community of people. Knowing that someone else has had a shared experience can help others through the most difficult or confusing of situations.

What are we looking for? Everything! This may seem like a daunting task, but you can narrow it down with this scenario: If I were to give you a time machine that allowed you to go back to those sunny post-high school days, but only allowed you to pass one story on to your younger self, what would it be?

The submission of these stories is completely anonymous, so please share whatever you are able. Let this be a cathartic moment knowing that your story may help others not make the same mistakes, not have the same misunderstandings, and take advantage of the opportunities you enjoyed. To spark your storytelling, here are some of the main topics we discuss with students:

  • drug and alcohol safety
  • sexual health
  • relationship abuse
  • discrimination
  • mental health
  • self- image
  • peer relationships
  • parent relationships
  • monetary issues

On a final note, we are not pushing an agenda towards any of these issues. We simply want to present reality and that is why we are asking for your help. Thank you so much for sharing your story!
